6 key points for installing linear bearings

Among various mechanical equipment, linear bearings can fully utilize their performance and achieve significant economic benefits of automation and labor-saving. The characteristics of linear bearings are light weight, corrosion resistance, good interchangeability, and low cost. But many people don't know what preparations should be made before installing linear bearings, and what to pay attention to when installing and using them?

Before installing linear bearings, it is necessary to remove burrs, dirt, and surface scratches on the mechanical installation surface. The linear bearing is coated with anti rust oil. Before installation, please clean the reference surface with cleaning oil before installation. Usually, after removing the rust proof oil, the reference surface is prone to rusting. It is recommended to apply low viscosity lubricating oil on the spindle.

2. Gently place the linear bearing on the bed and use lateral fixing screws or other fixing devices to gently install the wire rail and lateral mounting surface in place. Before installation and use, please confirm whether the screw holes are consistent. If the machining holes of the base do not match and the bolts are forcibly tightened, it will greatly affect the combination accuracy and quality of use.

3. Tighten the positioning screws of the linear bearing from the center to both sides to make the track suitable for vertical installation surface, and tighten from the center to both ends to obtain more stable accuracy. After slightly tightening the vertical reference plane, the locking force of the side reference plane will be enhanced, so that the linear bearing can reliably fit with the side reference plane.

4. Use a torque wrench to tighten the torque one by one according to different materials, and then slowly tighten the positioning screws of the linear bearing slide rail.

5. Use the same installation method to install the auxiliary rail, and install the sliding seat separately on the main rail and auxiliary rail, paying attention to installing the sliding seat on the linear rail. Due to limited installation space, it is not possible to install many subsequent accessories, and the required accessories must be installed at this stage.

6. Gently place the mobile platform on the sliding seat of the linear bearing main guide rail and auxiliary guide rail, and then tighten the lateral compression screw on the movable platform. After positioning, the installation can be completed.
